US SUPPLIED WEAPONS TO TALIBAN IN AFGHANISTAN !

in the early 1980s, the CIA and the ISI (Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence agency) provided arms to Afghans resisting the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, and the ISI assisted the process of gathering radicals from around the world to fight against the Soviets.
Osama Bin Laden was one of the key players in organizing training camps for the foreign volunteers. The U.S. poured funds and arms into Afghanistan, and "by 1987, 65,000 tons of U.S.-made weapons and ammunition a year were entering the war."
FBI translator Sibel Edmonds, who has been fired from the agency for disclosing sensitive information, has claimed United States was on intimate terms with Taliban and Al-Qaeda, using them to further certain goals in Central Asia.

The Taliban were based in the Helmand, Kandahar, and Uruzgan regions and were overwhelmingly ethnic Pashtuns and predominantly Durrani Pashtuns.

According to the Pentagon agency responsible for combating roadside bombs in Iraq and Afghanistan, the increased Taliban threat to US and NATO vehicles comes from Italian-made mines left over from the US Central Intelligence Agency's military assistance to the anti-Soviet jihadists in the 1980s.

who gave taliban weapons?

Investigative journalists like Wayne Madsen and Gareth Porter have been challenging claims made by U.S. officials and Taliban commanders that Iran is providing insurgents with tank killing mines in Afghanistan. These experts say that the TC-6 Italian-made mines were actually provided by the United States to the Jihadi Movement back in the 1980s. So why does there seem to be a concerted effort on the part of the U.S. Government and the media to blame Iran? RT's Dina Gusovsky discusses this issue with RT Contributor Wayne Madsen.

Taliban worked to prevent 9/11

Evidence now available from various sources, including recently declassified US State Department documents, shows that the Taliban regime led by Mullah Mohammad Omar imposed strict isolation on Osama bin Laden after 1998 to prevent him from carrying out any plots against the United States. It also bolsters the credibility of Taliban statements in recent months asserting that it has no interest in Al Qaeda's global jihadist aims.

CIA Agents Reveal "Secrets of the CIA"

In this riveting exposé, five former CIA agents describe how their initial pride and enthusiasm at serving their nation turned to anguish and remorse, as they realized that they were actually subverting democracy and killing innocent civilians all in the name "national security" and promoting foreign policy agendas.

A Notre Dame football star, an aerospace engineering senior at Iowa State, an attractive high school graduate, a young patriot, and an Olympic shooting champion all were recruited by the CIA at a young age. These five brave individuals risk retaliation in revealing the story of their gradual disillusionment and finally defection from the CIA, as they eventually became convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that they were serving neither democracy, nor the people of their country.

The Olympic shooting champion describes being put in charge of overthrowing the democratically elected government of Guatemala. The patriot relates his deep remorse for his direct responsibility in the deaths of numerous innocent people for which he can never make amends. The pretty high school graduate describes how her initial addiction to power and intrigue turned to disgust and horror. This powerful documentary is a rare and remarkable look at the results of unbridled secrecy and the lengths to which some elements in government will go to achieve questionable foreign policy goals.

WAR MADE EASY (full documentary)

War Made Easy reaches into the Orwellian memory hole to expose a 50-year pattern of government deception and media spin that has dragged the United States into one war after another from Vietnam to Iraq. Narrated by actor and activist Sean Penn, the film exhumes remarkable archival footage of official distortion and exaggeration from LBJ to George W. Bush, revealing in stunning detail how the American news media have uncritically disseminated the pro-war messages of successive presidential administrations.

War Made Easy gives special attention to parallels between the Vietnam war and the war in Iraq. Guided by media critic Norman Solomon's meticulous research and tough-minded analysis, the film presents disturbing examples of propaganda and media complicity from the present alongside rare footage of political leaders and leading journalists from the past, including Lyndon Johnson, Richard Nixon, Defense Secretary Robert McNamara, dissident Senator Wayne Morse, and news correspondents Walter Cronkite and Morley Safer.

Russia's assessment of the cause of the Syrian unrest points the finger of blame firmly at an armed opposition. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov also says it's time to stop dealing in ultimatums and get back to peace talks.
A UN investigation earlier stated that Syrian forces had committed crimes against humanity in their brutal treatment of anti-government demonstrators. Almost 4,000 people have been killed after months of unrest. The EU is tightening the economic screws on the Syrian regime and is considering an arms embargo - something Moscow strongly opposes. Ex-CIA Agent: America creates its own enemies

Americans are in the crosshairs of terrorists worldwide purely due to Washington's policy in the Muslim world, not because there is an Islamic enemy whose only aim is to kill Americans for their freedoms and lifestyle, insists a former CIA officer. Historian Michael Scheuer, an author of "Through our enemies' eyes", who worked for the agency for over 20 years till 2004 and at one time was the chief of the CIA's 'Bin Laden unit', says America's greatest enemy -- radical Islam -- never existed: neither when Bin Laden was alive, nor now.

Iran Isolation? 'US only player to gain from Saudi murder plot

The U.S. President has taken a firm stance against Iran, promising tough sanctions against the country over claims it was plotting to kill the Saudi ambassador to Washington. Two Iranians were charged with trying to hire members of a Mexican drug cartel to carry out the attack - something Tehran has dismissed as baseless. But Barack Obama says there's enough evidence of Iran's guilt and is calling on the international community to make it 'pay for its behavior' by further isolating Tehran. The U.S. is now considering sanctions on Iran's Сentral Bank, promising even more pressure. Professor Seyed Mohammad Marandi from the University of Tehran says Iran will deal with any pressure.

Dead Wrong: Living 'victim' talks on TV

In Syria, at least six people are reported to have been killed in the latest clashes between protesters and security forces. Human rights groups continue to sound the alarm over multiple arrests and killings - but one high-profile victim has made an amazing reappearance. Ivor Bennett reports on the media's quickfire reactions at the expense of fact-checking.

Shocking Video: Syrian opposition violence

Torture, booby-trapped cars, machine-guns shooting in the air -- RT has come into the possession of a video that deals with episodes of the day-to-day life of members of the Syrian opposition. It shows members of the opposition wielding various weaponry -- from sickles to pump-action shotguns -- and using it, as well as some results of their actions. Parts of it contain too much violence to be reproduced for an unprepared audience, the rest is available to demonstrate the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe Syria is dealing with. Meanwhile, Russia has declared its readiness to continue working on a new resolution on Syria and expects two delegations of the Syrian opposition to visit Moscow for negotiations in October. While a massive group of Western countries last week proposed two resolutions, both of which included sanctions against current President Bashar al-Assad's regime if violence against the opposition continues, Russia and China opposed any kind of sanctions. Russia has condemned the Western resolutions as being designed to force a regime change in Syria, which, according to numerous statements made by Russia's Foreign Ministry, will only encourage violence.

Libya witness to RT: Rebels killing civilians, food & water short

As the forces of Libya's new rulers continue their siege of the two remaining Gaddafi strongholds, we spoke to an eye witness. A woman from Tripoli, who asked that we call her Selma, was in Beni Walid a day ago. Speaking in a low voice in fear for her life, she said former rebels care little about the well being of civilians.

Double Struggle: 'Rebels fight for power pie, West for oil'

Libya's new rulers have named temporary cabinet ministers to govern the country until it is fully secured. Meanwhile their forces continue to lay siege to the few remaining Gaddafi strongholds. The National Transitional Council now controls most of the country, but still faces fierce resistance in Sirte, Bani Walid and pockets in the southern desert. After a two day ceasefire to allow residents to leave, NTC forces attempted further attacks on, the ousted colonel's hometown, Sirte. The Red Cross has warned of a humanitarian disaster as the town is running out of medical supplies, food and water. Patrick Henningsen - Managing Editor of the news website, 21st Century Wire, says there is a huge power struggle within the Transitional National Council.

Noam Chomsky to RT: Bush torturer, Obama just kills

Pinning its hopes on the sole support of the US, Israel risks a collapse if it is ever withdrawn - much like apartheid-era South Africa, prominent scholar Professor Noam Chomsky warns. He recalls how South Africans felt safe to ignore a UN embargo and corporations pulling out of their country throughout the 1980s, as long as the Reagan administration continued to support them. As soon as the US withdrew its support, the apartheid regime collapsed. "For 35 years, the US and Israel have been rejecting a political settlement that is supported virtually by the entire world. A couple of months ago, there was a meeting of the oligarchs -- people who pretty much run the economy [of Israel]," Chomsky says, "and they warned the government that it better accept something like this resolution, because otherwise, Israel will be, as they put it, South Africanized: even more isolated, with boycotts, refusal to load ships, and their economy will collapse."

Illegal immigrants cash cow for corporations

Illegal immigration facilities have been increasing profits with anti-immigration laws. These same companies are asking for even tougher, stricter immigration bills to keep their facilities at capacity. Over 2 million Immigrants are being held captive in private prisons and these corporations get $45 to $130 per detainee. Marina Portnaya investigates.

While many American industries are slowing down, the private prison industry is booming. Much of that is attributed to their lobbying efforts, which some say create the condition for mass incarceration. The private prison lobby has had major influence in places like Florida, Arizona, Georgia, Utah and Alabama, states which have recently passed some of the strictest anti-immigrant policies. Policies, which would likely help fill those prison cells.

NATO recruiting jihadists to invade Syria

Across in Syria, at least four people were reportedly killed in crackdowns on anti-government protests on Sunday. The ongoing violence in the country has left more than two and a half thousand dead in the past few months. Moscow's stepping up its efforts to mediate a peaceful solution to the conflict. A team of Russian lawmakers is on the ground on a fact-finding mission in the country. They say Damascus appears to be committed to Democratic reform. The Kremlin is also circulating a draft resolution at the UN that's aimed at urging the warring sides towards dialogue. Political analyst Michel Chossudovsky says the Russian delegation will have its hands full in Syria.

Trial of Destruction: Sarkozy sued for Libya crimes

(You may find some of the images in Daniel Bushell's report disturbing) In Libya, the volatile situation shows no sign of abating - a month after Colonel Gaddafi was ousted. The country's interim leaders are struggling to form a cohesive cabinet - while their forces are still locked in battle with Gaddafi's remaining supporters. The defiant loyalists are making a last stand in three key cities. Sirte, Bani Walid and Sabha have been under heavy assault for over a week, with reports Gaddafi and his sons could be hiding there. Meanwhile, the rest of Libya is reeling from months of civil war, which has left tens of thousands dead. Ongoing NATO airstrikes have also reportedly killed a number of civilians by mistake. But some Western leaders are now facing charges at home over their military intervention.

Afgans don't know about 9/11 - torturing and killing civilians

Investigative journalist Gareth Porter reports that 90% of "Taliban" captured by General David Petraeus were civilians. In December of 2010 Petraeus stated 4100 rank and file Taliban had been captured and 2,000 had been killed in 6 months. According to official US military data which was not publicized, what he didn't say was 80% of those were released within days of capture because they were found to be innocent civilians. Porter joins the show to explain.

General Petraeus lied when his command said that a total of 4,100 Taliban rank and file had been captured in the previous six months and 2,000 had been killed. It turns out that over 90% of the captured "rank and file Taliban" were released--80% within the first two weeks.

It's a troublesome sign when the man picked to lead the CIA has clearly been proven to be a false prophet who blatantly cooks the stats.

The leaders of France and Britain travel to Tripoli on Thursday, in a show of support for the regime their warplanes helped put in power. On the eve of their visit, the head of the National Transitional Council asked for more weapons to fight pockets of Colonel Gaddafi's loyalists still in their strongholds. The rebel government thinks the ousted dictator is hiding in southern Libya and planning a fightback. However the new authority is asserting an increasing level of control over the country. The rebel government in Libya has a hard job ahead, with analysts warning that freedom and peace are a long way off. 9/11 anniversary-Double Standards-09-10-2011

US govt. made 9/11 to dominate world

As the United States is marking the tenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks, a columnist says that the US officials have planted the incident to dominate other countries.

Interview with Allen Roland, Online Columnist, from Sonoma, California

War at Toss of Coin: US abuses power it no longer has

The decade that followed the 9/11 attacks was marked by wars fought under the flag of ridding the world of terrorists. Lawrence Wilkerson, ex-chief of staff to US Secretary of State Colin Powell, told RT that America thinks it holds an unchallengeable place in the world, and abuses the power it no longer has.

Jingoism & Revenge: 'US media integrity a 9/11 casualty'

The American "war on terror" is said to protect its people and the world from new terrorist threats. But experts believe it was an intentional attempt to foment nationalism, jingoism and revenge against the countries of the Muslim world. Bill Van Auken, a member of the international editorial board of the World Socialist Web Site, says there is no evidence America went to war in Iraq and Afghanistan to protect its people

Harvest of Hypocrisy? UK opium poppy farming kept hush-hush

The U.S.-lead 'war on drugs' in Afghanistan has been ongoing since the fall of the Taliban in 2001. Despite millions of dollars being spent on destroying crops, Afghanistan remains the world leader in opium-poppy production. But as RT's Laura Emmett discovered, the crackdown is having an adverse effect, with countries like the UK now forced to grow their own poppies to plug a shortage in pharmaceuticals.

Post-9/11 Crusade: How to win enemies and terrorize people

Security is being stepped up across the US following a terror threat on the eve of the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. American intelligence intercepted communications from an Al-Qaeda operative in Pakistan indicating plans for a vehicle bomb plot against New York City or Washington. As RT's Marina Portnaya reports, a decade on many U.S. citizens still feel vulnerable in their own country.

Gaddafi dumped, 'Al-Qaeda & CIA nested in new Libyan govt'

The security chief of ousted Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi has fled the country and is now in neighbouring Niger, according to officials there. Gaddafi wasn't said to be part of the convoy that crossed the border on Tuesday, while Burkina Faso has denied claims it's ready to provide asylum. Before the start of the anti-Gaddafi campaign, America's CIA and Britain's MI6 were allegedly sending terror suspects to Libya for interrogation and torture. The claims, based on diplomatic documents recently found in Libya, have sparked outrage. But anti-war activist Don DeBar says U.S. intelligence will always find a way to spin the story.

Double Deal: 'UK & MI6 made Gaddafi best pal, then pariah'

British Prime Minister David Cameron has called for an inquiry into claims that UK intelligence agents extradited terror suspects to Libya. The allegations surfaced after human rights groups in Tripoli found documents outlining MI6 and CIA rendition programmes.

UK foul play? 'Suicide' of Iraq weapons expert contested

The British government faces court action from a group of doctors over the death of weapons expert David Kelly in 2003. They're pushing for a new inquiry after the first reached a verdict of suicide. Kelly was behind a report showing Britain knew there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq before joining the invasion. And as RT's Laura Emmett found out, the evidence in the case isn't as clear as previously thought.

9/11 Legacy: Torture, rape & 'war of no boundaries'

In just a few days, the United States will be marking its greatest tragedy in half a century - the terrorist attacks on September 11th 2001. What followed was a decade of invasions, torture scandals and untold abuses on both sides. As we begin our special coverage of the anniversary, RT's Gayane Chichakyan takes a look at whether the past decade's made America any safer.

Freedom or Anarchy? 'Rebelution' leaves Libya in fear

Confrontation between Libyan rebels and pro-Gaddafi forces shows no sign of easing. Battles have been raging near the towns of Sirte and Bani Walid - two of the few remaning strongholds of the fallen regime. Forces loyal to the Colonel fired rockets from Bani Walid, where two of Gaddafi's sons are believed to be leading the armed resistence. That's despite the interim government seeking to negotiate a peaceful resolution. The deadline for Gaddafi loyalists to surrender has been extended to this Saturday. As for the Colonel himself, in his latest audio message the ousted leader claimed he was still in Libya and vowed he'd never leave his ancestors' homeland. Meanwhile life the Libyan capital still struggles after falling into rebel hands, with the celebratory mood quickly dampened by fears of anarchy setting in. Maria Finoshina is in Tripoli for RT.

What's 9/11? Afghans never heard of NYC terror

Images from 9/11 are still chilling, even 10 years after the attacks shook the world. They triggered the so-called war on terror. But in the country that's been at the forefront of that war, it can be hard to find people who remember why foreign troops arrived in the first place.

Wikileaks: Fallout, Qaddafi and US Oil Co.'s

The House of Representatives voted on and passed an amendment to the defense appropriations bill to prohibit the use of funds for American military operations in Libya, invoking the War Powers Resolution. A Wikileak state department cable, as reported by the Washington Post, has shown the relationship between major US oil companies and Muammar Qaddafi had been souring for a time prior to the beginning of the war. John Glaser with Antiwar.com discusses.

Profligate Profit: US sponsors Taliban & wastes $30 billion

The US senate committee into wartime contracting has found 30 billion dollars of taxpayer's money missing or stolen by contractors. The report claims the money was squandered due to poor planning, a lack of oversight and outright fraud by U.S. contractors and federal employees. It also suggests to implement stricter measures to control the spendings over the possibility that another 30 billion could be wasted in the future. The findings are now to be presented to congress, as a cash-strapped Washington prepares to trim defence spending to tackle its enormous debt. An assistant Editor at Antiwar DOT com - John Glaser - says this report is only one of many others describing large-scale waste in the US.

Media Manipulation: NATO was bombing hospitals, schools to create panic in Libya

NATO's presence in Libya little resembles a humanitarian mission with houses, hospitals and schools being hit. But Libya prospered prior to NATO's intrusion, Yvonne Di Vito, an activist from Libyanfriends.com told RT. RT: You have been saying that here in Italy the news reports abut what is happening in Libya were very confusing, a lot of conflicting information there. Can you tell us what you saw and what you found?
Yvonne Di Vito: We went to Libya on the 28th July and we came back on the 7th August and we found a totally different situation because NATO was bombarding civilians.
The bombings were not only carried out on military targets, but they also hit houses, hospitals, schools, television centers, and this was totally against the humanitarian reasons they said they were there for.
I believe they were doing this to bring panic in the city. That's why they were bombing the things that people use daily, like places with food and essential utilities like hospitals.
This was also a difficult period for Muslims because of Ramadan and that is why in the daytime they're in their houses. We went to Tripoli and to Zitan and we saw huge protests with thousands of pro-Gaddafi supporters turning out against NATO and all these demonstrations were not shown in Italy.
We also visited Tanjur and Sansur and found a lot of women that were screaming at us, asking 'Why you Italians are bombing us? What did we do to you? Why are you killing our children?' That was their main question. When we went to Zitan, the same day they bombed a house and in this house two children were killed. We tried to show the pictures of these children that were dead. But apart from us, no one else did the same.
Except the things that we saw with our own eyes visiting these places that were bombed, we have so much material that press officers and journalists from Libya gave to us as testimony to all the dead from the NATO bombings.
After all the things that we saw we have one question: is this a humanitarian war? Are they really helping the civilians, because I believe that all this is because of economic reasons, or at least there are other reasons that this war happened, petroleum or other things.
We also visited Libya before and what we found was a normal situation where people were fine. Differently from other countries that went through a revolution -- Libya is considered to be the Switzerland of the African continent and is very rich and schools are free for the people. Hospitals are free for the people. And the conditions for women are much better than in other Arab countries.

Gaddafi 'jailed' son parades Tripoli after arrest claim - civilians supporting Gadaffi

An information blackout appears to have descended on Libya - as for hours there has been no significant updates coming from Tripoli. The hotel where the international journalists have been staying is left without electricity and communication. Earlier the story took a major twist when Colonel Gaddafi's son made an appearance in central Tripoli, refuting rebels' claims that he'd been arrested. During a brief window when power was restored, we managed to speak on the phone with independent journalist Lizzie Phelan who saw Saif Gaddafi herself.

Second colonization of Africa begun

For more view on the situation in Libya, RT talks to international consultant and former deputy speaker of the Belgian Parliament, Lode Vanoost.

F. William Engdahl, author of "Full Spectrum Dominance: Totalitarian Democracy in the New World Order", thinks the struggle for Libyan oil is the real bottom line of the whole NATO operation.

Rebels say they now control most of Tripoli, and have taken Libyan state TV off air. But some reports also suggest that opposition fighters have been looting private houses. Three of Gaddafi's sons are now thought to be in rebel hands. Opposition leaders say a large number of their fighters have been killed. There are reports rebels are closing in on Gaddafi's compound, but the whereabouts of the Colonel are unknown. Some rumours suggest Gaddafi may be in talks with South Africa about a possible escape route, despite denials from both sides. And NATO insists it will continue combat air patrols until all government forces surrender. Following a night of chaos in the capital, crowds have been seen in Tripoli's central square waving revolutionary flags.

Colonel Gaddafi's son has made an appearance in central Tripoli, refuting rebels' claims that he'd been arrested. He came to speak with international journalists who are still trapped in a hotel without electricity and communications. Meanwhile doubts are cast over whether a rebel victory would actually leave the Libyan people in control of their destiny, as experts point to Egypt where those who fought for the revolution, ended up with a government they didn't choose. Eric Margolis - war correspondent, columnist and author from Toronto, Canada says we are lond way from seeing anything like democracy in Libya.

Al Jazeera and other news agencies lied about Gaddafi - disinformation campaign

Libyan rebels say they're pushing on towards Tripoli and claim they're now around 30 kilometers from the capital. There have also been reports of sporadic violence within Tripoli itself - but many people on the ground there say the situation is much calmer than those reports suggest. Lizzie Pheelan is an independent journalist in Tripoli who says that false accounts of what's happening have served only to stir up the conflict.

Fatal Facebook: 'UK on edge of civil war' - Two men get 4 years in jail for Facebook riot

British police are cracking down on users of social media for allegedly encouraging mass uprising during a time ripe with riots. One message on Facebook even got two Brits four years behind bars recently for what they say was just a drunk joke. Now human rights groups are sounding the alarm, saying the courts are over-reacting by dishing out penalties which are far too harsh.

As of late Internet freedom has been challenged by governments worldwide including the US. Social media has given a voice to protestors everywhere. In England two men were sentenced to jail for sharing information on Facebook about the recent riots. Now the US State Department is giving $2 million in grants for the "Internet in a suitcase" to aid protesters in getting around unfriendly governments. Many are calling the US government hypocrites for such aid after a shutdown of cell phone service occurred during a recent protest in San Francisco. Could Internet in a suitcase allow governments and corporations to spy on and manipulate online revolutions? Eva Golinger, lawyer and author, tells us more.

To Sell a War (1992) Gulf War Propaganda

Secrets of the Gulf War, Oil, Saddam, Hipocrisy and unkown history of Kuwait (1991)

From various sources we piece together three significant facets of the Gulf
War which were ignored or distorted by the media. First is the history of
the area, particularly the development of Iraq and its relationship to
Kuwait; the legitimate complaints which Iraq had with Kuwait; and the
various ways which the US may have manipulated Saddam Hussein in attacking Kuwait after installing Saddam in the first place and protecting him as a useful ally until the war started.

9 11 Documentaries - The Greatest Lie Ever Sold

911 Truth : The Elephant In The Room

The Elephant in the Room is a documentary following British filmmaker Dean Puckett through his journey into the 9/11 Truth Movement: a global movement of 'conspiracy theorists' who believe that the official explanation about what happened on 9/11 is totally or partially inaccurate. The filmmakers travel from middle England, across Europe and to New York for the six year anniversary of the attacks, where the film takes one final twist as we are introduced to the 9/11 first responders who are suffering from various grave health difficulties due to the toxic dust that they breathed in trying to help their country during the weeks after this tragic event. Told with a personal hands on approach that avoids advancing any one position, the film asks the question: are these crazy conspiracy theorists? Or is 9/11 Truth a credible political movement?

The film premiered at the BFI on the Southbank in London - winning Best UK Documentary at the London Independent Film Festival 2008.

'Killing civilians part of NATO war strategy in Libya'

The head of Libya's rebel movement has sacked the entire executive committee which functions as a cabinet. It follows the assasination of the commander of opposition forces last month. Members of the National Transitional Council, Libya's highest rebel authority, support the re-shuffle saying they hope it will stem any crisis in their ranks. Meanwhile, NATO is continues its attacks on the country. Officials in Tripoli claim 85 people have been killed in airstrikes in the west of the country. Stephen Lendman, author and blogger says it's obvious there's no agreement in the rebel government, and NATO is losing the war in the country.

LIBYA - 33 children, 32 women and 20 men killed by NATO

A Nato airstrike near Tripoli has killed 85 people, including dozens of women and children, Libyan officials have claimed.

A spokesman for Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's regime said missiles struck a cluster of farm buildings in the village of Majar, around 150km east of the capital.

Among the dead were 33 children, 32 women and 20 men, he added.

However, Nato has said the airstrike hit a legitimate military target.

Reporters have been taken to the scene, where they were told by Moussa Ibrahim: "This is a crime beyond imagination. Everything about this place is civilian."

Foreign journalists have been taken to see several destroyed buildings in a village near the town of Zlitan which Libyan officials said were hit by NATO airstrikes.

They claim at least 85 civilians were killed in the worst non-combatant death toll since NATO began its campaign.

Unconfirmed reports say 33 children were among the dead. The Gaddafi regime has declared three days of mourning.

Officials in Tripoli hope to show the world that NATO bombings keep straying from military targets, thus reducing Western support for the mission.

30 U.S. troops from navy seal elite unit that recently killed Osama Bin Laden dead in helicopter crash

A military helicopter crashed in eastern Afghanistan, killing 30 U.S. troops and seven Afghan commandos. Officials say many of the troops were special operations forces who belonged to the same elite unit that recently killed Osama Bin Laden. (Aug. 6)

This is reportedly the largest one day loss of troops in the 10 year war in Afghanistan and it just happens to be Seal Team 6. So now we are to buy that the men who took out OBL Died in a helicopter crash months after pulling off the raid. Our inside sources told us months ago that all the Seals on the helicopter that crashed in the so called OBL raid died, the Obama admin says none were killed. Witnesses on the ground in Pakistan told national News outlets that the Seals went in to the compound then came out got in a stealth craft and it exploded. The video with the witnesses is posted on Infowars.com in our news report titled "Seal Team 6 Deaths Exposed". Now the globalist may have killed off the rest of the Seal team that made it out in the other stealth helicopter from the OBL raid to tie up loose ends. Bottom line the official bin Laden raid story is a proven fraud so it is no wonder that this story dose not ad up.

Infowars is on the record reporting that members of Seal Team 6 died in the so called OBL raid. The government admits that a super secret helicopter did crash during the OBL raid but says no one died, our intel is different. We predicted that the spin doctors would stage a crash or when a real crash took place that they would say the SEALs died then. This is a old trick that governments all over the world have been caught pulling in the past. Some speculate that Obama had the team killed to cover up what really happened; however our intel does not point that way. The Pentagon may have blown the helicopter up on the ground on the night of the raid and we cover that in the above video. Lastly the globalist MSM is reporting that terrorist have taken credit but that is notoriously filled with disinfo, like in the Norway attack when a fake terrorist group took credit and the media ran with it.

You cant drink raw milk ! crackdown swat team arrested farmers selling raw milk!

A major police raid targeted an establishment you might not expect, an organic food cooperative. The government appears to think that raw milk is such a big public risk, that they are using some very strong arm tactics to arrest a group of organic food providers. Raw food enthusiasts feel like they are under attack and they are ready to fight back.

For the past several years organic foods have received an increase of attention due to the lack of pesticides and not being genetically altered. Many people are demanding that their food be untouched. Recently a SWAT team arrested farmers for selling raw milk to customers. Is it a crime to drink raw milk or does the government feel left out? Mike Adams, health ranger, first broke the story any tells us why the FDA doesn't approve of this.

America's next war is with Yemen?

With the U.S. already fighting in two wars, Yemen has been revealed as another possible front opening up. But there could be secret links between the countries that is feeding into the American media, which is now stoking fears that the Arab nation is a hotbed of terrorism. RT's Gayane Chichakyan reports.

'Xe' guns for hire above law as US hears & sees no evil

The private security firm formerly known as Blackwater is on trial in the U.S. Not over allegations that it killed innocent civilians in Iraq 4 years ago. But because two ex-employees claim the company overcharged Washington for protecting State Department staff in war zones. The firm which is now called Xe provides more mercenaries for the U.S. in Afghanistan than anyone else, and has been implicated in a number of scandals. In 2007, its hired guns were accused of shooting dead 17 unarmed civilians in Baghdad.
Despite a lengthy legal process, no-one was punished over the alleged massacre. The company is now set to take an even bigger role in Afghanistan, as the U.S. withdraws its combat troops. And as RT's Gayane Chichakyan reports, there's concern Washington could keep covering for its hired killers.

If 9/11 victims' phones were hacked by Murdoch's people, Fox News is finished

Rupert Murdoch is rapidly losing allies on both sides of the Atlantic, with his media empire under pressure from all sides. Journalist Afshin Rattansi believes Murdoch still has some "ammunition" to battle his enemies. "[Murdoch] basically had newspapers so that he could manipulate monopoly concerns over his broadcast interests which actually did make money unlike the newspapers. Newspapers are just tools of war," Rattansi said. "It is interesting that he owns these newspapers and they always say Rupert Murdoch loves newspapers." "He has lots of enemies out there," Rattansi added. "He probably has lots of ammunition to hurl back at them, thanks to all those muckraking journalists who spent their time looking at sex scandals." Rattansi admitted that Murdoch still has a lot of friends, but for him it seems like "some MPs find it unbelievable that he has the right to own any form of media in this country."

Libya campaign staged to start conquering Africa

The NATO-led intervention in Libya and the unrest in Syria are both steps in a decades-long plan by the US and its allies to completely reshape the face of Africa, believes independent journalist and peace activist Thierry Maysan. "It's quite obvious that the USA wanted to enter war at the same time with Libya and Syria. That wish was made public by John Bolton in 2002. The plan was passed over to France and Britain, who decided to bring it to life in November last year," the author believes.
What is called public uprising of the free-loving people are actually coup attempts staged by the Western nations, Maysan says. The operation in Libya in particular is marked by an astounding number of lies fed to the public, he added. "By the time of the UN Security Council vote everyone had decided on the basis of reports submitted to the council. And the Security Council was certain that during the demonstrations in Benghazi the government killed 6,000 citizens -- a terrible number. But now five months later the prosecutor at the International Criminal Court, which accused the Libyan leadership, has reduced the number... Now the prosecutor is building up his evidence on 208 victims instead of 6,000," he pointed out. In another example, footage was circulated by foreign TV channels allegedly showing Gaddafi's soldiers raping women in retribution for the uprising. The video later turned out to be a rare Libyan amateur porn flick, Maysan said. The lies are meant to hide what the West wants to do in the region, the journalist believes. "NATO keeps lying at every stage, which is surprising, because during the war in Kosovo NATO would normally lie only to conceal its mistakes. This time it's being done not to conceal the mistakes, but to conceal the strategy

Nibiru Documentary - Planet X Video

Ancient Sumerian texts indicate that the Earth (" Tiamat ") was struck by a large planet, which moved it into its present orbit, and created the Moon and the Asteroid Belt. In his books, The Twelfth Planet and The Cosmic Code, Zecharia Sitchin outlines this "celestial battle" as described in the Babylonian text called Enuma elish. The planet "Marduk" (the Sumerian " Nibiru "), as it came into the solar system on its clockwise elliptical course, struck Tiamat, which was moving in its ordained counterclockwise orbit. One of Marduk's satellites struck Tiamat first, followed by two more of Marduk's moons. Then Marduk itself, an enormous planetary body, struck Tiamat, smashing one half of the planet into pieces, which became the Earth's Moon and the "Great Band" (Asteroid Belt). The other half of the planet, which was struck by a smaller moon of Marduk, was moved into a new orbit, along with a chunk of material which became its moon. The new planet was then called "KI," meaning "cleaved one." The Earth's original moons were dispersed, many changing the direction of their orbits.

Many now believe that the Anunnaki of Nibiru are coming back to Earth soon. They believe that Planet X is going to pass by Earth on its 3,600 year orbit around our sun. Such believers are terrified of the consequences that a close pass by Nibiru might bring. They fear this will cause earthquakes, tidal waves, severe flooding, food shortages due to climatic conditions, diseases, meteor fire storms, volcanic eruptions and the like. They are afraid that it will result in a great catastrophic infliction on Earth.

Highly advanced civilizations have been here before us, just to be destroyed by some great global catastrophy. But for each race that has died out another has taken its place with a selected few holding on to the memories and sacred knowledge of the past race. In our vanity we think we have discovered some of the great truths of science and technology.. but we are in fact just beginning to re-discover the wisdoms and technologies past races.
The discovery of new planets in the last two hundred years owes more to mathematics than to bigger telescopes. Mathematical irregularities in the orbits of the outer planets, in particular, strange wobbles and gravitational anomalies noted in the orbits of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, have prompted astronomers over the past hundred years to search for a large planetary body in the outer solar system. Based on mathematical evidence, astronomers have been so sure of the reality of this planet that they named it Planet X. The name stands for the tenth planet, as well as the mathematical symbol for an unknown quantity.

Why are our astronomers not aware of the existence of this planet? Even an orbit half as long as that of the comet Kohoutek (7,500 years) would take the 12th Planet about 6 times further away from us than Pluto. At this distance, the planet would not be visible from Earth. The ancient tale of Nibiru's Celestial Battle is actually scientifically sophisticated, and current advances in astronomy have recently corroborated certain aspects of the Sumerian mythology

American Indian Holocaust - United Native America documentary

The powerful and hard-hitting documentary, American Holocaust, is quite possibly the only film that reveals the link between the Nazi holocaust, which claimed at least 6 million Jews, and the American Holocaust which claimed, according to conservative estimates, 19 million Indigenous People.

It is seldom noted anywhere in fact, be it in textbooks or on the internet, that Hitler studied Americas Indian policy, and used it as a model for what he termed the final solution.

He wasnt the only one either. Its not explicitly mentioned in the film, but its well known that members of the National Party government in South Africa studied the American approach before they introduced the system of racial apartheid, which lasted from 1948 to 1994. Other fascist regimes, for instance, in South and Central America, studied the same policy.

Noted even less frequently, Canadas Aboriginal policy was also closely examined for its psychological properties. America always took the more wide-open approach, for example, by decimating the Buffalo to get rid of a primary food source, by introducing pox blankets, and by giving $1 rewards to settlers in return for scalps of Indigenous Men, women, and children, among many, many other horrendous acts. Canada, on the other hand, was more bureaucratic about it. They used what I like to call the gentlemans touch, because instead of extinguishment, Canada sought to remove the Indian from the Man and the Women and the Child, through a long-term, and very specific program of internal breakdown and replacement call it assimilation. America had its own assimilation program, but Canada was far more technical about it.

Perhaps these points would have been more closely examined in American Holocaust if the film had been completed. The films director, Joanelle Romero, says shes been turned down from all sources of funding since she began putting it together in 1995.

Perhaps its just not good business to invest in something that tells so much truth? In any event, Romero produced a shortened, 29-minute version of the film in 2001, with the hope of encouraging new funders so she could complete American Holocaust. Eight years on, Romero is still looking for funds.

American Holocaust may never become the 90-minute documentary Romero hoped to create, to help expose the most substantial act of genocide that the world has ever seen one that continues even as you read these words.

The History of Slavery In America

The History of Slavery In America (part 1 of 3)

Slavery in the United States began soon after English colonists first settled Virginia in 1607 and lasted as a legal institution until the passage of the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution in 1865. It continues illegally to this day.

Before the widespread establishment of chattel slavery, much labor was organized under a system of bonded labor known as indentured servitude. This typically lasted for several years for white and black alike, and it was a means of using labor to pay the costs of transporting people to the colonies. By the 18th century, court rulings established the racial basis of the American incarnation of slavery to apply chiefly to Black Africans and people of African descent, and occasionally to Native Americans. A 1705 Virginia law stated slavery would apply to those peoples from nations that were not Christian. In part because of the success of tobacco as a cash crop in the Southern colonies, its labor-intensive character caused planters to import more slaves for labor by the end of the 17th century than did the northern colonies. The South had a significantly higher number and proportion of slaves in the population. Religious differences contributed to this geographic disparity as well.

From 1654 until 1865, slavery for life was legal within the boundaries of much of the present United States. Most slaves were black and were held by whites, although some Native Americans and free blacks also held slaves; there were a small number of white slaves as well. The majority of slave holding was in the southern United States where most slaves were engaged in an efficient machine-like gang system of agriculture. According to the 1860 U.S. census, nearly four million slaves were held in a total population of just over 12 million in the 15 states in which slavery was legal. Of all 8,289,782 free persons in the 15 slave states, 393,967 people (4.8%) held slaves, with the average number of slaves held by any single owner being 10.[5][6] The majority of slaves were held by planters, defined by historians as those who held 20 or more slaves.[7] Ninety-five percent of black people lived in the South, comprising one-third of the population there, as opposed to 2% of the population of the North. The wealth of the United States in the first half of the 19th century was greatly enhanced by the labor of African Americans.

But with the Union victory in the American Civil War, the slave-labor system was abolished in the South. This contributed to the decline of the postbellum Southern economy, but it was most affected by the continuing decline in the price of cotton through the end of the century. That made it difficult for the region to recover from the war, as did its comparative lack of infrastructure, which kept products from markets. The South faced significant new competition from foreign cotton producers such as India and Egypt. Northern industry, which had expanded rapidly before and during the war, surged even further ahead of the South's agricultural economy. Industrialists from northeastern states came to dominate many aspects of the nation's life, including social and some aspects of political affairs. The planter class of the South lost power temporarily. The rapid economic development following the Civil War accelerated the development of the modern U.S. industrial economy.

Twelve million Africans were shipped to the Americas from the 16th to the 19th centuries Of these, an estimated 645,000 were brought to what is now the United States. The largest number were shipped to Brazil. The slave population in the United States had grown to four million by the 1860 Census.

As the US plans to increase drone aircraft usage abroad, now law enforcement in the States is getting ready to adopt robotic planes back home for surveillance purposes. While drone usage is expected to be expanded in America by 2013, Infowar's Alex Jones says that in some states it has already been happening for years.

Zecharia Sitchin, Anunnaki and Planet X Nibiru

Zecharia Sitchin, Anunnaki and Planet X Nibiru

In 1976 Zecharia Sitchin published The Twelfth Planet, which supplied an array of evidence to support the assertion that the earth had been visited by ancient alien astronauts in its past. Sitchin based his conclusions on the written records of Sumer, the sudden civilization that sprang up virtually overnight in the Tigris-Euphrates Valley of modern Iraq. Historians cant begin to plausibly explain how Sumerians were transformed from Stone Age farmers to extremely sophisticated city dwellers almost instantly around 5,000 years ago. The mystery is so deep and so profound, few historians dare attempt to deal with it.

Sumerians used a cleverly subtle graphic technique known as kuniform, which is readily acknowledged as the first form of writing. The wedges were pressed into clay tablets that were then put into the first clay ovens and fired into stone to provide what became the gold standard of knowledge in all subsequent cultures: written in stone.

Historians are so baffled by the things Sumerians wrote, they classify nearly all of it as myth, nothing more than flights of fancy by surprisingly creative primitives.

Sitchin rejected the myth title officially applied to Sumerian writings, and treating them as the true history Sumerians said they were. Taking a close look he found an astonishing array of facts that could be corroborated by modern research. What he found was literally mind-boggling in 1976, and it remains so today.

Were the Anunnaki the Nephilim in the Bible?

According to Zecharia Sitchin and his interpretation of ancient Sumerian texts, the Anunnaki were extraterrestrials (aka "angels"?), who were an extremely long-lived race, potentially living as long as 500,000 years. Laurence Gardner reduces this to more on the order of 50,000 years, and notes specifically that the Anunnaki were not immortal. Sitchin and Gardner also disagree on the date of the Great Deluge/Flood; Sitchin assuming a time frame of 11,000 B.C.E., while Gardner assumes one of 4,000 B.C.E.

The Lost Gospels - Jesus who kissed Mary Magdalene on the mouth

The Lost Gospels, presented by Anglican priest Pete Owen Jones, is a fascinating exploration into the huge number of ancient Christian texts that didn't make it into the New Testament. Shocking and challenging, these were works in that presented a Jesus who didn't die, who took revenge on his enemies and who kissed Mary Magdalene on the mouth. This Jesus is unrecognisable from that found in the traditional books of the New Testament.

Pete travels through Egypt and the former Roman Empire looking at the emerging evidence of a Christian world that's very different from the one we know. He discovers that in addition to the gospels of Mark, Matthew, Luke and John, there were over 70 gospels, acts, letters and apocalypses circulating in the early Church.

Through these lost Gospels, Owen Jones reconstructs the intense intellectual and political struggles for orthodoxy that were fought in the early centuries of Christianity, a battle involving different Christian sects, each convinced that their gospels were true and sacred.

The worldwide success of Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code has sparked new interest about the origins of the Christian faith. Pete Owen Jones sets out the context in which heretical texts like the Gospel of Mary emerged. He also strikes a cautionary note: if these lost Gospels had been allowed to flourish, Christianity may well have faced an uncertain future, or perhaps not survived at all.

The documentary, although a great feat of scholarship falls short of exploring some other important manuscripts such as the Gospel of Judas and the Gospel of Barnabas. It also fails to eplore the evidences in the gospels of the other possibility of Christ's nature: that he was entirely human.

However, the question that really needs to be asked is: isn't God himself supposed to decide what comprises of His book?

Boots for Bombs: Troops pull out, Drones fly in?

Barack Obama is rounding up support for his decision to withdraw more than 30 thousand troops from Afghanistan, by the end of next year. France says it could also pull all of its forces out by the same period. But nearly 70 thousand American troops will remain, amid warnings from U.S. commanders that progress against the Taliban is "fragile and reversible". There's also concern that less troops will NOT mean less collateral damage, as Gayane Chichakyan reports

NATO & rebel atrocity claims break through barricades of civil war

UK role in US illegal rendition exposed by secret memo

The UK failed to track detainees handed over to the US, neglecting to protect them from possible torture in America's secret prisons. That's been revealed after an agreement between the two states on the treatment of terror-suspects captured in Iraq was declassified. 28-year-old Pakistani Yunus Rahmatullah is one of the victims of this deal. He was seized by British soldiers in Iraq in 2004 as a suspected insurgent and secretly sent to a US detention camp in Afghanistan, a process dubbed extraordinary rendition. The man's lawyers are calling on the UK to help free him as Britain was the detaining authority.

Libya: Obama lied about Gaddafi's bloodbath

From: RTAmerica on 18 Apr 2011
http://youtu.be/xmTxV5UaIbU
President Obama said that Gaddafi's regime was going to cause a bloodbath in Libya. Professor Alan J Kuperman of the University at Texas argues, however, that the president's claims were exaggerated and that the civil war should be over by now. One month after they intervened, NATO and the US have not put an end to a war that otherwise would have resolved itself.

Media Lies About Libya and Gaddafi!

NATO admits killing babies / civilians

NATO has admitted that civilians were killed in an air strike on a Tripoli suburb on Sunday. Gaddafi officials say two babies were among the nine dead. It's the first time the Alliance has conceded responsibility for civilian deaths, although Libya's Health Ministry claims more than 800 people have died in three months of air attacks. Maria Finoshina reports now from the capital Tripoli. You may find some of the images disturbing.

NATO has warned Libyan civilians to distance themselves from forces loyal to ruler Muammar Gaddafi to allow it to strike those forces with 'greater success and with minimum risk to civilians.'
On Wednesday, Libyan state media reported that seven people were killed in a NATO airstrike in the capital, Tripoli. The military alliance is facing mounting criticisms over the civilian losses in the North African nation. Press TV talks with Dr. Webster Griffin Tarpley, author and historian in Maryland, about the developing quagmire and conflict between the Western countries over crisis-hit Libya.

At least seven civilians in Libya have been killed by a NATO airstrike which hit a residential area overnight. Earlier, the Alliance confirmed it had mistakenly attacked rebel forces, but the number killed in that friendly-fire attack is not known. In the middle of the night, Tripoli's Souk al-Juma district was woken up by a blast, when a bomb, or several bombs, landed in this residential area. Several three-story buildings have been destroyed as a result. According to initial reports, four families -- 12 to 14 people -- resided there, and at least seven inhabitants have been killed, while some are still missing.

Making a Killing: UK war-wallet bomb-doors open

With civilian casualties in Libya mounting and no end in sight, those paying for the intervention might be stumping up more than they bargained for. The UK has announced that its taxpayers might see one point six billion dollars of their hard-earned cash diverted to fund the intervention. And, as RT's Laura Emmett reports, there's little patience left among an already disillusioned public.
